HIS Signing Team
The “Hands In Service”—HIS—Signing Team was developed in 1991 at Millfield. Sign language is a beautiful and expressive way of communicating. Our members “sign” with dramatic, enlarged movements of American Sign Language®. We use American Sign Language® reference books to learn the movements. These books are available at your local bookstore as well from an online video clip dictionary, ASL Browser.
Typically, the signing team accompanies musical pieces sung by the choir, and the graceful movement of the signers adds to the visual impact of worship. Our team members are ages nine years old to adults. The team meets on Wednesday nights from September through May. Contact the for more information.
