Our Music Ministry
Music has always been an integral part of the worship experience at Millfield Baptist Church. We’re blessed to have members who are willing to share their musical talents, both vocal and instrumental.
We sing the traditional hymns of the faith and are introduced to new praise and worship music through our young people who lead worship when there is a fifth Sunday in a month.
The Adult Choir
Our adult choir is comprised of people who love to sing for the glory of God. It isn’t necessary to read music or have musical training to be part of the choir. A desire to praise the Lord and lead in worship through song is the only requirement. The choir rehearses on Wednesday nights at 7:30 P.M. and sings an anthem at most Sunday morning services.
The choir frequently presents special music programs at Christmas or Easter or other times of the year. In 2005, we held our first Fall Festival of Music. This event featured the Millfield choir, other musicians in our church, and musicians from neighboring churches and the community. By popular request, our church helad another Fall Festival of Music in October 2006.
Our Children’s Choir
A children’s choir meets periodically and sings for special occasions, such as Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and Christmas, and most years a children’s Christmas play is presented which delights the hearts of all who attend.
